2017 January Favorites

Hi guys and welcome back! Or if this is your first time here, welcome to my little corner of the great wide interwebs.  😉 So glad you’ve decided to read about my January favorites.

First thing first, is it SERIOUSLY already FEBRUARY?!! Where did January even go? Where did 2o16 go?! Time flies by soooo much quicker as you get older, and I am only nineteen. Oh boy it’s just gonna get worse.

Today, I thought I would share with you all the things I was loving in the month of January. Shall we begin? 🙂

First things first, of course, not everyone has the same skin, hair, wants/needs/likes as I do. So if something doesn’t work for me, that doesn’t mean it won’t for you and vice versa.

1. Bath and Body Works Stress Relief Lotion

This. Stuff. Rocks. I had always seen the aromatherapy line at Bath & Body Works but never truly looked into it. I went to College Dance Team Nationals @ Disney World in January and one of my roommates had the Stress Relief lotion and I took one sniff and fell in love. Now, I don’t know the logistics of how it is truly “stress relieving” but the smell of it seriously does calm me down. Maybe it’s a mind trick but I don’t care, whatever works, ya know? 🙂

It comes in a few different scents and I use the Eucalyptus and Spearmint scent. You can find it at your local Bath & Body Works or online here.

I’ve also been using the stress relief body wash and bubble bath, literally makes your relaxing shower even better. Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever used the aromatherapy line and what you think.

2. Target Coffee Mugs

Okay so I know that everyone and their dog is obsessed with Target, and also obsessed with coffee. So, today I share with you how those two obsessions of mine overlapped.

Target has the dollar spot, a.k.a. the pit of no return. Well sometimes they have different coffee mugs in that area for only $3!!! Yes, I said $3!! Like WHAT?!?! How could I pass that up? That being said I have been obsessed with this coffee mug. I couldn’t find the exact one on the Target website so I will link one similar here.

5. Milk & Honey by Rupi Kaur

This. Book. Is. Everything. Even if you’re not a fan of poetry, you will be after this one. Rupi’s way with words and her ability to make you feel a situation (even if you’ve never personally experienced it) is unreal. You won’t regret giving it a shot, I promise. You can find it here. (Even better, it’s on Amazon Prime.) (Even better news? If you’re a student you can get a free trial of Amazon Prime and then get it for half price if you choose to continue!) Hello, my name is Keirstin and I am addicted to Amazon Prime.

6. My Converse

These have easily become my all-time favorite pair of shoes because they can be paired with so many different types of outfits. Nike shorts and t-shirt? Perfect match. Casual dress? Perfect match. If you don’t own a pair, you need to. These are the ones I have.

7. Vampire Diaries

I know this show has been out for quite some time but I am new to it. I started it a bit ago and have fallen in love with it. I know it is pretty popular so I do feel a bit behind. But on the bright side, I can binge it on Netflix and not have to wait for each episode. So, who’s the winner REALLY? 😉

8. The Bachelor

My guilty pleasure reality t.v. show. And just like clock work, each January The Bachelor premieres and 25 or so women go on national television to try and find love. It’s no different this season however Nick Vial is the bachelor and he has been on the franchise three times before this, we are almost to hometown dates and I am hoping this venture turns out good for him. It’s been rocky, but I am hopeful because I am a hopeless romantic.

Well folks, that’s all for my monthly favorites. I thought it would be a little fun post to share here on my corner of the internet. Thanks so much for reading!
